Family Practice
With a nursing career that began in 2006, Holly brings a deep commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care. She earned her undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Dordt College, a Master of Science in Nursing Education from Walden University and completed her Family Nurse Practitioner training through Purdue Global. She became a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2018 and has continued building a career focused on helping patients feel heard, supported, and cared for during vulnerable moments.
Her experience includes working as an emergency room nurse at the University of Iowa, spending four years as a travel nurse in emergency rooms across the United States, and serving eight years in urgent care as a nurse practitioner. Her path into nursing was inspired by a personal experience in grade school, when a traumatic injury and spinal fracture led to a week-long hospital stay. Seeing nurses care for patients firsthand made a lasting impression and sparked her love for the profession.
Known by friends and family as joyful, sarcastic, and kind, she brings warmth and personality to everything she does. Outside of work, she enjoys watching her three children play sports and going on adventures with them. Her family also includes two dogs: Hayden, a black lab, and Nala, a golden retriever.
When she is not caring for patients or cheering on her kids, she loves traveling. In fact, she has visited 46 states across the U.S.—a reflection of her adventurous spirit and love of new experiences.
